Ever wonder if God has a name?  God actually has several names and over the next few weeks I want to look at those with you.

In Exodus 3:11-15 and 6:2-3 God tells Moses his name is "I Am".  This kind of seems like an odd name, but I Am is the name God chose for himself.  In some ways this name says it all.  Who's in charge?  "I Am".  Who's the Creator?  "I Am".  This name- "I Am" -shows that God is all.  There is nothing with out God.  Jesus also said this about himself in John 8:58.  He did not say "I Was" or "I Will Be", He said "I Am".  What does this mean in your life today?  If everything is because God is how would that change the way you view the world around you?  God is the same today as He was when He talked to Moses and the fact that God is "I Am" means that: God is everything you need!  Over the next few weeks we will continue to look at more names given to God at what that reveals about who He is and what that means to us.  Keep checking back.
